Call rates flat at 6.00-6.10 pc level, bonds low
Mumbai, Sep 12 (UNI) Call rates traded flat at 6.00-6.10 per cent, amidst moderate demand and sufficient liquidity.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in the call money market on September 10 transacted Rs 16,453.81 crore at the weighted average of 6.10 per cent.
In the first Liquidity adjustment, the central bank transacted Rs 11,420 crore through 21 bids at the rate of 6.00 per cent.
RBI did not inject any money through the repo auction.
Gilts tracking the weak US markets traded low. The ten-year bond (GS 8.07 per cent 2017) traded at 101.72 and gave a yield of 7.82 per cent.
Today, the apex bank fixed the reference rate for the day at Rs 46.34 per US dollar as compared to the previous rate of Rs 46.27 per USD.
