Mumbai, Sep 12 (UNI) Bharat Petrroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) employees across the country will observe two day strike from September 19 to protest against the adamant and anti-workmen attitude of the management.

Bharat Petroleum Karmachari Union Working President Pravin K Bordekar today said that all the eighteen unions operating at all India level in various refineries and marketing divisions would join the two day strike.

He said that representatives of various Unions met here on August 30 and discussed the issue of Performance Linked Incentive Scheme (PLIS) payments for the year 2004-05 and 2005-06. It was resolved in the meeting that considering the discriminatory approach of BPCL management on the matter of PLIS payments, the unions have decided for direct action on September 19 and 20.

Mr Bordekar said that as a first step of protest, unions having membership of over ten thousand would wear black badges, slogan shouting, gate meetings and one day hunger strike at all locations on September 15.
