BJP Minority Cell burns effigy of terrorism
Dehra Dun, Sep 12 (UNI) Expressing grief and resentment over the Malegaon bomb blasts, members of the BJP Minority Cell burnt an effigy of terrorism here today.
Scores of party workers gathered at the Clock Tower here and burnt the effigy amid sloganeering against terrorism. They criticised the Congress-led UPA government for its ''failure'' to rein in terrorism in the country.
The workers urged the Hindus and the Muslims to maintain harmony and brotherhood to discard vested interest of the terrorists to create animosity between the two communities. They also criticised Pakistan for supporting terrorism in India.
Reprimanding Congress for following the policy of divide and rule, the workers said maximum communal riots took place in their rule. ''It has always considered Muslim community as a vote bank,'' said Salim Siddiqui, one of the leaders of the Minority Cell.
