Apang assures adequate medical staff in East Kameng
Itanagar, Sep 12 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang has assured to post an adequate number of doctors and paramedical staff in the East Kameng district hospital and health centres at Seppa to improve the dismal health scenario of the district.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by a joint delegation of the East Kameng Social Welfare&Cultural Organisation (EKSWCO), Nyishi Elite Society, All Nyishi Students' Union, All East Kameng Students' Union, public leaders and other elected representatives of the district, the Chief Minister would provide funds to renovate the existing infrastructure of the district hospitals, besides decentralising fund provisions for procurement of medicines, sources said.
Apart from the Health and Education sectors, the NGOs have also sought the Chief Minister's intervention into power problems of the district.
They have also demanded an additional fund of Rs 10 crores re-revised estimate to complete the Pacha Micro Hydel Power Project in a time-bound manner, acceleration of construction works of sub-station at Wessang, immediate laying of high tension grids and erection of poles between Khup-pi and Seppa.
