Another sunny day, sultry conditions continue in Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 12 (UNI) Hot and humid conditions persisted in the capital today leaving people perspiring under the scorching sun.
It was another day of predominantly sunny weather with brief cloudy intervals as the maximum temperature hovered at 36 degree Celsius, nearly two degrees above normal.
Sultry conditions, witnessed in Delhi for the last nearly a week, continued following a high humidity level of nearly 50 per cent.
Some relief was, however, provided by the North Westerly winds.
The dry weather, experienced in the capital since September 3, also continued to prevail.
The capital has witnessed humid conditions all through the last week. It rained bountifully in the last week of August with the capital receiving 210 mm of rainfall.
The humid weather is likely to remain in the next few days with the weather office forecasting only isolated rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
In Delhi, weathermen have forecast a partly cloudy sky with possibility of rain or thundershowers in some areas during the next 24 hours.
