5.6 moderate quake hits Sino-India border in JK
New Delhi, Sep 12: A moderate quake, measuring 5.6 on Ritcher scale shook the Sino-India border region in northern Jammu and Kashmir state late tonight, Meterological Department sources said.
The tremor, which occured at 2342 hrs, was epicentered at latitude 35.9 degree North and longitude 78.7 East.
There have been no reports of any loss of life or damage to property so far, sources said.
