1.25 kgs brown sugar seized

Chennai, Sep 12 (UNI) City police today seized 1.25 kgs of brown sugar from four persons at the busy Paris corner area in the city.

Police said on suspicion, a police patrolling party intercepted Ravi (38), Ganesan (35), Kumar (40) and Selvaraj (38), all hailing from Chennai city, and on the examination of their personal belongings, they seized the contraband, which was concealed in a plastic cover.

The value of the seized contraband was Rs 1.25 crore in the international market, police added.
