TTD takes over temple

Tirupati, Sep 11 (UNI) The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has taken over the management of the ancient 'Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy temple' at Devunikadapa in Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh.

TTD Chairman B Karunkar Reddy and Joint Executive Officer Balaramaiah received the documents, assets and the land belonging to the temple from Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple Chairman G Krishna Reddy at a function held on the temple premises at Kadapa.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Karunakar Reddy said various rituals would be performed in the temple as per 'Agama Sastras', which were being performed at Tirumala.

He said Talapaka, the birth-place of Annamacharya would also be developed.
