Three soldiers wounded in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 11 (UNI) Three soldiers were injured in a fierce encountr at Kandi in the frontier district of Kupwara last night, a defence ministry spokesman said.

He said, a group of militant attacked a security force search party at Kandi, Kupwara, in north Kashmir late last night.

The fire was returned and in the fierce clash three soldiers were injured. Militants managed to escape under the cover of darkness, he said, adding that a massive search operation has been launched to nab them in the nearby woods.
