School teacher arrested for wife's murder

Junagadh, Sep 11 (UNI) A suspended school teacher was arrested for murdering his wife, also a teacher, after his attempt to dispose off the body failed.

Vittal Keshava Kanaria (46) allegedly murdered his wife Manjula (45) last night by choking her to death using a dupatta, police said.

After killing his wife last night, Kanaria took the body in a gunny bag to dispose it off outside the building premises. However, he had to leave the body on the second floor when he saw security guards.

Later, the security guards informed the police.

Kanaria was arrested under section 302 of the IPC on the basis of a complaint filed by his brother-in-law Bhagwanjibhai Vanijia, police said.

The reason behind the murder is not known, police said.
