Rahul promises engineering college in Amethi

Amethi, Sep 11 (UNI) Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi today assured an engineering college would be set up in his parliamentaty constituency.

Rahul, who is on a three-day tour of his constituency, made the announcements while visiting the ShuklBazaar and Jagdishpur blocks of the constituency.

During his tour, Rahul made halts at schools to ask students about their studies. He assured to commence science stream courses in two schools of the area.

Interacting with Rahul, the locals informed about their problems, including health-care, marriage of girls, pension and housing.

Some women, who had gathered in groups, requested him to ensure their electricity bills were waived off by the government.

Later, the MP visited Lubhagi Basti village to interact with potters from the Muslim community and assured them of all possible assistance.

Local Congress leaders said Rahul also asked some locals to meet him in New Delhi for better medical care facilities and other personal problems, including marriage of disabled girls in their families.
