Drunken, troublesome passenger arrested

Chennai, Sep 11 (UNI) Anna International Airport police today arrested a 45-year-old passenger for allegedly creating nuisance while in an inebriated condition, on the Chennai bound Dubai-Chennai Emirates flight.

Police said the passenger, Dhanasekaran, hailing from Bodinaickanur in Theni district of Tamil Nadu and working as a coolie in Dubai, created a nuisance by running around in the aircraft after it took off. He also refused to fasten his seat belt while the aircraft was landing.

However, he was overpowered by the crew members.

The passenger, who was on his way to his native place Bodinaickanur, also demanded that the flight should take him there.

The pilot of the flight informed the matter to the police, following which they disembarked him.

After conducting a medical test to confirm that he had consumed liquor, he was arrested and remanded to judicial custody, police added.
