CPI-M threatens to withdraw support to UPA
Purulia, Sep 11 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today warned the centre that the Left Front will withdraw its support if the UPA does not control the rise in prices of petrol, diesel and other essential commodities.
Addressing a rally here, the Cheif Minister said without the support of the 61 Left Front MPs, the UPA government could not continue at the Centre.
'' The Congress has no proper policies, or principles.
Still we are supporting them at the Centre to stop the BJP from coming to power,'' he said.
He, however, expressed hope that the party would retain its seats in Purulia and Katwa Lok Sabha seats and win the Malda seat.
