Court directs UP to decide Noida case soon

Allahabad, Sep 11 (UNI) Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh government to decide the claim of New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida) officials regarding the enhancement of their retirement age within three months.

The bench comprising Justices Amitav Lala and V C Mishra passed the order on a writ petition of Noida engineers.

The petitioners contended that the demand for enhancement of their retirement age from 58 yrs to 60 years was pending for consideration before the state cabinet.

Standing counsel R N Pandey informed the court that the matter of petitioners' age was placed before the state cabinet, but it postponed the matter.

The court, after hearing the petitioners' counsel Satya Prakash, directed the case must be decided within three months.
