Cong forms panel on Satyagraha centenary
New Delhi, Sep 11 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi has constituted a seven-member Sub-Committee to suggest programmes for celebrating the Satyagraha centenary all the year round in the country.
The Sub-Committee consists of A.K.Antony, Mrs Mohsina Kidwai, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Ahmad Patel, Digvijay Singh, Mukul Wasnik and Janardan Dwivedi, according to a release issued here today by AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi.
Satyagraha, started by Mahatma Gandhi first in South Africa 100 years ago as a non-violent and potent weapon to fight injustice, eventually helped win freedom for India from the British rule.
