Bubble Motion secures US$ 10 million funding from Sequoia Capital
Bangalore, Sep 11 (UNI) Bubble Motion, the world's first voice short message service provider, has secured US Dollar ten million in series B funding from Sequoia Capital US and India.
The technology company would use the funds to enhance research and development of BubbleTALKTM and expand sales and marketing efforts in various countries, a company release here said today.
Bubble Motion Co-Founder and President Sunil Coushik said the company hoped to tap the expertise and technology of Sequoia Capital US and India, which had an extensive portfolio of investments in companies early on such as Cisco, Apple, Yahoo, Google and YouTube.
''Bubble Motion has pioneered the store and forward voice segment and is creating an exciting new vertical in the mobile space. With this new partnership with Sequoia, we have the combined experience to maintain and grow our market leadership with global penetration and further innovations,'' company Co-Founder and CTO Venu Sriperumal said.
