BSEB official arrested for accepting bribe

Patna, Sep 11 (UNI) Vigilance Bureau sleuths today arrested Bihar State Electricity Board Assistant Intelligence Officer Ashok Kumar Kashyap while taking bribe from a businessman here.

Additional Director General of the Vigilance bureau Neelmani said that acting on a tip off, a state vigilance sleuth was sent to Kadamkuan locality where Mr Kashyap was caught red handed.

Anil Singh, a close associate of Kashyap, was also arrested in this connection, he added.

He said the official demanded money from the businessman to settle his electricity bills of his shop in Hanuman Nagar.
