UPA govt has failed to curb terrorism: Singhal
Chennai, Sep 10 (UNI) Viswa Hindu Parishad(VHP) International President Ashok Singhal today claimed that the UPA Government at the Centre was soft pedalling the issue of tackling terrorism and it would be impossible to curb growing acts of terrorism with such an approach.
Mr Singhal, who was here to celebrate his 80th birthday, told newsmen at the airport that only a strong administration and firm action by it could tackle the situation.
He alleged that ''terrorim could not be tackled by soft people. It can be solved only by strong people.'' He also claimed that the ministers in the UPA Government were more interested in getting awards and medals rather than concentrating on important issues like curbing terrorism.
