Two held for chowkidar's murder

Indore, Sep 10 (UNI) A chowkidar was brutally murdered and his body thrown into a well near Akshardham colony here, while two people were arrested in this connection, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Anshuman Yadav said a police complaint was lodged by the deceased's wife when he did not return home by 0900 hrs yesterday.

On reaching the spot, police found bloodstains on stones, road and plants. Suspecting that the body was inside a nearby well, fire brigade personnel were called and the corpse was found. The body carried stabbing and beating marks.

Two chowkidars, Gajendra alias Gujju (35) and Kamal (30), who stayed with the deceased, were arrested after bloodstains were found on their clothes.

On interrogation, the chowkidars confessed to killing Dhar-resident Bharat (40) to death as the latter had obtained chowkidar's job by getting the accused removed.
