TTD allots house sites for employees

Tirupati, Sep 10 (UNI) Following the hunger strike agitation by its employees for house sites and other demands, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board today resolved to allot 400 acres of land to 5000 employees in Tirupati and its outskirts.

Talking to newspersons here, after a meeting of the newly constituted Trust Board under his Chairmanship, B Karunakar Reddy said the decision was taken to provide individual sites for all TTD employees.

The Board has selected the readily available 180 acres of land at Vikruthamala near Renigunta airport, 166 acres in Brahmanpattu and 66 acres in Gollapalli village on the outskirts of the temple town, besides another seven acres at Vinayaka Nagar and ten acres of land in the vicinity of the SGS Arts Collage in Tirupati, he said.

The TTD would hand over the land sites to the employees within four months.
