Swedish stunt pilot killed in Malta competition
VALLETTA, Sep 10 (Reuters) Swedish aerobatics champion Gabor Varga was today killed when his stunt plane collided with another aircraft during a race in Malta, organisers said.
The two single-seat planes crashed into the sea off Malta during the Aero GP competition, witnesses said. The other pilot parachuted to safety.
Varga was in the Guinness book of records for performing the greatest number of aerobatic loops in an hour - 256.
The Aero GP includes an air race, one-on-one dogfights and target bombing and flying duels.
