New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) It was another hot and sultry day in the capital today as the bright sunlight and high humidity left Delhiites perspiring.

The sunlight and the high humidity, coupled with the dryness in the weather, made the conditions unbearable even though strong Westerly winds provided some relief from the sultry conditions.

The maximum temperature took a slight dip to 34.4 degree Celsius, from 34.6 degree C yesterday, Warm and humid weather has prevailed in Delhi since last Sunday with no rain all through the week. The capital received 210 mm of rainfall last week.

The humid weather is likely to prevail for the rest of the week with the weather office forecasting only isolated rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

In Delhi, weathermen have forecast a partly cloudy sky during the next 24 hours.
