Six kidnappers arrested in city

Hyderabad, Sep 10 (UNI) Sleuths of Commissioner's Task Force (Central Zone) today arrested six persons on charges of kidnapping and recovered from them Rs 14 lakh, two dummy pistols, four cell phones and one motorbike.

Police said acting on a tip-off, a raid was conducted at Singareni Colony near Ramoji Film City.

The arrested T Nagaraju (26), P Rama Krishna (23), K Ramulu (29), T Pothuluri Brahmachari (21), D Narender (33) and B Radha Krishna (39) were arrested on the charge of kidnapping one Ramesh of Vijayawada and demanding a ransom of Rs one crore.

Though Ramesh's parents gave Rs ten lakh as ransom, the abductors demanded more money.

The accused were handed over to Station House Officer, Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police station for necessary action, police added.
