Security beefed up for UPA's Assembly gherao tomorrow
Ranchi, Sep 10 (UNI) Security has been tightened in and around Jharkhand Assembly in the wake of Opposition UPA's proposed Assembly gherao tomorrow protesting Speaker's issuance of defection notices to three legislators ahead of crucial floor test of Arjun Munda government on September 14.
City Superintendent of Police Akhilesh K.Jha told UNI here today that two companies of Rapid Action Force (RAF), about 200 district police personnel and 50 police officers would be engaged to ensure security in the Assembly premises.
If required, Special Task Force would also be deployed, he added.
The UPA today gheraoed Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari's residence here for a brief while.
