Monsoon still active over Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 10 (UNI) The South West Monsoon has been active over Kerala and Lakshadweep as rain and thunder showers occurred at most places during the past 24 hours.

Minicoy recorded heavy rainfall of seven cms, local weather office said.

Rainfall recorded in other places: Amini Deep six, Alappuzha and Varkala five each, Karipur airport, Thiruvananthapuram Airport and Thiruvananthapuram city and Cherthala three each.

Rain with thunder showers are likely over many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep within next 48 hours, the office added.
