LS Speaker congratulates Leander on winning US Open doubles crown

New Delhi, Sep 10 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today congratulated Leander Paes on winning the US Open Men's doubles title.

Partnering with Martin Damm of the Czech Republic, Paes won his maiden US Open title, beating Jonas Bjorkman of Sweden and Max Mirnyi of Belarus 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 today.

''Paes's fighting spirit, which was on display in the final match, will ensure many more titles for him in the days to come'', Mr Chatterjee said in a message here.
