Four people killed in two road mishaps in K'taka

Bangalore, Sep 10 (UNI) Four people, including two women, were killed in two road accidents in Karnataka, today.

Police said that in Bidar city, a teacher couple, identified as Rajendratande Shankarrao (38), Head Master of Nagareshwar school, and his wife Manjulaganga (35), a teacher in a local school, were killed when a lorry ran over their scooter on Humnabad road. Their son, who was also riding along with them, had a miraculous escape.

While the husband died on the way to the hospital, the woman died in the hospital.

In another incident, two persons were killed and another was seriously injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a tractor in Mandya city.

Police said the incident occurred when the car was coming to Mandya from Bangalore. The deceased were identified as Putte Gowda (59) and Shailaja (38). The injured Putte Gowda's wife was admitted to a hospital.
