Foreign diplomat involved in arguments in airport
Kolkata, Sep 10 (UNI) A high ranking diplomat of a foreign mission here got involved in an unsavoury incident with security personnel at NSCBI airport this morning, according to airport sources.
Although no official comments were available from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) or the Central Reserve Security Force (CISF), airport sources said the diplomat and his wife had gone to the airport to see off their two sons aged 16 and 25 years on a flight to London.
The trouble began when the couple allegedly insisted on entering the security hold and were prevented by CISF personnel there leading to arguments.
Only passengers of the flight scheduled to leave were allowed to enter the security hold.
Senior AAI and CISF officials, however, arrived on the spot and diffused the situation.
Mr S N Tudu, officer in-charge, NSCBI airport told UNI that no complaints had been lodged in this regard.
