Economy will grow at eight per cent: FM

Chennai, Sep 10: Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram today said he would ensure that the economy grows at eight per cent.

Inaugurating SPEL Semiconductor Limited's new Leadless molded package at SPEL Facility in Maraimalainagar, he said he was willing to accept any debate or dissent over it as long as he did not come in the way of achieving it.

He said it is my ''intention to ensure that we continue to grow at eight per cent. It is also possible to grow at even more than eight per cent.''
