Cerebral Malaria toll at 41

Mainpuri, Sep 10 (UNI) The killer Cerebral Malaria (CM) death toll in Uttar Pradesh climbed to 41 with the death of two more people.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) K S Gupta said the crippling disease killed Rajesh (21) and Ankit (8) in the last 24 hrs.

Waterlogging in Bhogaon Tehsil is the key reason for the spread of this deadly disease. Since CM is caused by mosquito bite, people have been advised to put kerosene oil near the pits, where the mosquitoes breed.

The diseases endemic UP during monsoon every year.
