Businessman shot dead, irate mob blocks road

Chapra, Sep 10 (UNI) A man was shot dead by some armed criminals at Inai village under Rivilganj police station in Saran district.

District police superintendent Mithilesh Kumar Singh said Abhay Singh, a businessman, was attacked by some miscreants while he was returning home yesterday.

Raids were on to nab the criminals, he added.

Meanwhile, irate villagers blocked the Hajipur-Gajipur road protesting against the murder.

Senior officials have rushed to the spot to persuade the villagers to lift the blockade and restore traffic movements.
