Blackbuck carcass recovered

Rohtak, Sep 9 (UNI) A carcass of a blackbuck, bearing bullet marks was recovered from the fields at Khanai village in this district today.

A case under the Wildlife Protuction Act was registered in Rohtak Sadar police station on the complaint of wildlife Inspetor Sriniwas in this regard.

A team of veterinarians conducted a post mortem of the animal in the evening. The results are still awaited.

Villagers said they heard firing shots last night. It is suspected that some one from the village itself committed the offence.

The police visited the spot and started investigation.
