Bafna reiterates conspiracy theory to damage Pawar
Mumbai, Sep 10 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) spokesperson Madan Bafna today said the revelation by the lawyer of multi-crore fake stamp paper scam accused Abdul Karim Telgi that the accused had never taken the name of Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar makes it clear that there was a ''conspiracy to damage the image of Mr Pawar''.
Several news channels recently aired a video footage showing Telgi taking the names of Mr Pawar and Maharashtra PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal during the narco anaylysis test.
The allegations were denied by both Mr Pawar and Mr Bhujbal. Mr Bafna told UNI that Mr Pawar is a powerful leader and it seems that there was an attempt to tarnish his image.
