Aerospace Information Room opened at AFTC

Bangalore, Sep 10 (UNI) The Indian Air Force, in a quest to exploit Aerospace as a weapons platform, has embarked upon setting up an aerospace facility Aerospace Information Room at Air Force Technical College (AFTC) here.

Aerospace as a weapons platform would throw up new challenges in future wars. Real time communication, continuous surveillance of the battle field area would be the key ingredients and decision factors.

AFTC was the cradle for learning aeronautics and emerging technologies being operated by the IAF, a defence press release issued today said.

The Aerospace Room was today inaugurated by Air Marshall B N Gokhale, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, training command, IAF today. Mr B N Raghunandan, Chairman of Dept. of Aerospace, IISc, was present.
