A criminal arrested in Bihar, arms seized

Bagaha, Sep 10 (UNI) A criminal was arrested and a cache or arms were seized from Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh late last night.

West Champaran District Superintendent of Police Baldeo Prasad said today that acting on a tip off, a police team went to Maharajganj and Julm Yadav was arrested from Kaptanganj village.

A countrymade pistol and several live cartridges were seized from his possession, he added.

Lal Mohan Pandit alias Julm Yadav was the kingpin of a criminal gang. He was considered as a terror in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh districts bordering Nepal.

Interrogation was on to find out the criminal network of Yadav, who was wanted in connection with more than ten cases of murder, dacoity and extortions.
