TN Govt suspends SP for threatening key accused
Chennai, Sep 8 (UNI) The Tamil Nadu Government today suspended a police official for allegedly threatening a key accused in the temple manager Sankararaman murder case.
Police sources said, K Premkumar, then suprintendent of police Kancheepuram, had investigated the case and arrested several people including Kanchi seer sri Jeyendra saraswathi.
The sources said, the charges against Mr Premkumar was that he threatened the key accused in the case, four days before deposing confession against Jeyendra Saraswathi.
Mr Premkumar is now Chief vigilance office Tamil Nadu State Trsansport Corporation Kumbakonam.
