Sunny weather, sultry conditions prevail in Delhi
New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) It was another sunny day in Delhi today with sultry weather conditions continuing to prevail in the capital for the second consecutive day.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.6 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal.
The sunny weather and high humidity close to 70 per cent left Delhiites perspiring for the second continuous day though Westerly winds provided some relief from the sultry weather conditions.
With the weatherman predicting a dry weather in Delhi for the next two to three days, warm and humid conditions are likely to prevail in the coming days.
The capital has not received rain all through the week.
Delhi received 210 mm of rainfall last week which is 20 per cent in surplus of the normal level of monsoon rainfall in the national capital during the season.
The weather office has forecast only isolated rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal while mainly dry weather over the rest of North West India.
In Delhi, weatherman have forecast a partly cloudy sky in some areas during the next 24 hours.
