Special trains introduced to clear Puja rush

Bangalore, Sep 9 (UNI) South Western Railway will run special trains between Guwahati and Yesvantpur to clear the passenger rush ensuing Puja festival from September 16.

A SWR press release said here today that Guwahati-Yesvantpur Weekly Special train No 202 will leave Guwahati at 0630 hrs on Saturdays and arrive Yeswantpur at 1210 hrs on Mondays. while the train No 0201 Yesvantpur-Guwahati Weekly Special will leave Yesvantpur at 2355 hrs on Mondays and arrive Guwahati at O930 hrs on Thursdays. The first service from Yesvantpur will commence on September 18 and the last service will be on September 30.

The trains will have one two-tier AC Coach, one three-tier AC coach, 11 three tier second class coaches, four general second class coaches, one pantry car and two second class cum luggage vans, the press release said.

The Karnataka Express(Bangalore- New Delhi and New Delhi-Bangalore trains No 2627 and 2628) will stop at Gooty station temporarily for six months with effect from october 15.

The train No 2627 Bangalore-New Delhi will arrive at Gooty at 23.57 hrs and leave at 2358 hrs. While in the return journey, the train No 2628, New Delhi will arrive at Gooty at 0709 hrs and leave at 0710hrs.
