Six killed in roof collapse in a jute mill in Bengal
Kolkata, Sep 9 (UNI) At least six workers were killed and one was seriously injured when the roof of a jute mill collapsed at Jagaddal in North 24 Parganas district last night.
Police here today said the bodies of the deceased were recovered.
The accident occurred when a large portion of the roof of the machine shop of the Anglo India jute mill collapsed, trapping almost all the workers, who were present during the working hours in the night.
Fire Brigade personnel with four tenders rushed to the spot soon after the incident and rescused an injured.
The injured was hospitalised.
