Poor are deprived of modern treatment facilities: Minister

Coimbatore, Sep 9 (UNI) Union Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed today said modern treatment methods were not reaching the poor and downtrodden.

Inaugurating the Gem Global Tele Live Surgery here, the Minister said the new method of treatment should reach all inspite of their economic status.

He said the Laproscopic surgery must be started in all Government Hospitals.

GEM Hospital Director Dr C Palanivelu said the new centre would enable the surgeons of India and abroad to witness the advanced operations performed here at the hospital.
