People escape unhurt as house collapses in HP

Mandi, Sep 9 (UNI) Nearly 100 people had a providential escape after a two-storey house collapsed in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, police sources said today.

The incident occurred last night at Kotal village of the district, when people were having dinner on the occasion of a religious function.

Nine people, including a three-month old child, were trapped under the debris of the house but were rescued by the guests, the sources said.

A case has been registered and investigations were on, the sources added.
