Pawar to hold merger talks with DIC (K)

Kozhikode, Sept 9: Union Agriculture Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar will visit the city on September 12.

Mr Pawar is expected to hold talks with Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) founder leader K Karunakaran and his son and DIC (K) president K Muraleedharan to finalise the merger formalities of both the parties.

The NCP State Executive Committee at its meeting in Kochi yesterday had unanimously approved the proposed merger.

He will hold disussions with officials at the government guest house in the afternoon, according to an offiial communique.

The Union Minister would leave for Mumbai on September 13, it added.
