Judicial probe an "eye-wash": Shanimol Usman

Palakkad, Sep 9 (UNI) Mahila Congress Kerala President Shanimol Usman today alleged the judicial probe ordered by the state government into the sexual harassment charge against former PWD Minister P J Joseph was an ''eye-wash'' and to protect him.

Addressing a press conference here, she said Inspector-General of Police B Sandhya who already inquired into the charges had found out that Mr Joseph had misbehaved with a woman co-passenger in a flight from Chennai to Kochi on August three.

Under these circumstances, an FIR should be filed against Mr Joseph before going for a judicial probe, she said.

Ms Usman said the Mahila Congress would launch an agitation if the government fails to file an FIR against him.
