Investigation on to probe Malegaon blast: Pranab

Kolkata, Sep 9: Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee today said an investigation has been ordered to probe the blast in Malegaon yesterday in which 38 people were killed.

Speaking at the sidelines of a seminar here, Mr Mukherjee said the Centre was yet to take any steps unless the probe was over.

A team of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) sleuths, led by ATS chief K P Raghuvanshi and Subodh Jaiswal, reached the site of the crime in Maharastra today to begin its investigation. The bomb disposal squad, sniffer dogs and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) officials visited the blast sites at Bada Kabrastan and Musharwat Chowk to look for evidences.
