Goa to participate in Moscow tourism mart

Panaji, Sep 9: Goa will discuss strategies to attract more tourists from Russia during its participation in the 5-day tourism mart beginning in Moscow on September 19.

Disclosing this to reporters here today, Deputy Chief Minister Dr Wilfred D'Souza, said Goa ttracted about 25,000 Russian tourists last year and would attract more this year.

Dr D'Souza also informed about the invitation he received from the Cable News Network (CNN) to attend the two-day live broadcast show of former US President Bill Clinton's Global Summit in New York beginning on September 19.

The summit takes place on the eve of the annual Clinton Global initiative that discusses various issues including climate change, mitigating religions conflicts, public health and effective governance.
