Fake currency racket busted, 4 held

Surat, Sep 9 (UNI) City police has busted a fake currency racket with the arrest of four persons from whom fake currency notes with a total face value of Rs 21,800 was seized.

Police said the fake notes were in the denomination of Rs 100 and Rs 500.

The four -- Amarsingh Mahadev Pal, Bhadrisingh Rajput, Hanif Moosa Patel and Dhaya Purushottam Patel, were apprehended when they were trying to circulate the notes in the market yesterday.

Police is on the look out for two more persons in connection with the racket.
