Dreaded dacoit arrested

New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) The Delhi police today claimed to have arrested a dacoit, who was carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, and had been involved in several cases of robbery and theft.

Police said, Dilshad alias Badshah (27) had been involved in about 16 cases, including robbery, attempt to murder, NDPS, assault on policemen, burglary, vehicle theft among others.

The arrest was made by the Anti Extortion Cell at Ram Lila ground, Vivek Vihar, at 1525 hrs yesterday.

A country made pistol, 315 bore and two live catridges were recovered from his possession, the press release said.

Describing him a desperate and habitual criminal, who operated in North East Delhi and Ghaziabad, the police said it had meticulously planned for his arrest.
