CPI(M) condemns Malegaon blasts; urges communal harmony

New Delhi, Sep 9 (UNI) Condemning the three bomb blasts in Malegaon which claimed 38 lives, the CPI(M) today called upon its state units to mobilise people against the nefarious designs of extremists and terrorist groups and to foil their attempts to divide the people on communal lines.

''The state government should spare no effort to see that the injured get proper medical treatment and adequate compensation is provided to the families of the victims,'' the CPI(M) Polit Bureau said in a statment.

The bomb blasts at a mosque and a graveyard indicated a diabolic attempt to create communal tensions and violence, the party said adding that the attack, coming after the Mumbai train explosions, be viewed with utmost seriousness.

The CPI(M) said the state government and security agencies must uncover the motives behind this attack and track down those responsible for it.
