Court directs to impound ex-mayor's immovable property

Bilaspur, Sep 9 (UNI) A local court has ordered the impounding of the movable property of former Bilaspur Mayor Rajesh Pande for his failure to abide by the earlier order to pay compensation to the widow of a victim.

Judge of Motor Accident Claims Compensation Tribunal Jaideep Vijay Nimonkar yesterday ordered a payment of Rs 4.45 lakh to Ramabai, whose husband Manharan Gond was crushed to death by a dumper at Parsahi village. Dumper owner Pande and driver Gorelal were made respondents.

On June 26, the judge had ordered payment of Rs 3.44 lakh within two months.
