ATS begins investigations in Malegaon twin blasts
Malegaon, Sep 9 (UNI) A team of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) sleuths, led by ATS chief K P Raghuvanshi and Subodh Jaiswal, arrived here today to begin their probe into the twin blasts which rocked this textile town in North Maharashtra yesterday afternoon killing 38 persons.
The bomb disposal squad, sniffer dogs and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) officials visited the blast sites in Bada Kabrastan and Musharwat Chowk to look for evidence.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has announced a cash prize of Rs five lakh to persons giving information that could lead the ATS to vital clues in the investigations. This was stated by Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil here yesterday.
